On 30 January 2026, Hospital Pakar Al-Islam marked a milestone by becoming a strategic partner for the BASE Jump Challenge 2026, organised by TAMU Hotel & Suites Kuala Lumpur in collaboration with BASE Malaya Club.
The programme was officially launched by Dato’ Parang Abai @ Thomas, Deputy Director General (Management & Socio-Economics) of the Federal Territories Department, in conjunction with the Federal Territories Day 2026 celebrations.
Also present were Tan Sri Mohamad Zabidi Zainal, Chairman of TAMU International Group; Dato’ Mohd Khay Ibrahim, Group Managing Director of TAMU International Group; Dr. Khairul Nizam Othman, Chief Executive Officer of the Kampong Bharu Development Corporation; Captain (B) Mohd Noorizan Mohd Yunus, President of BASE Malaya Club; and Dr. Ishak Mas’ud, Director of Hospital Pakar Al-Islam.
The event, held from 30 January to 2 February 2026 at the Padang Bola Sepak, Kelab Sultan Sulaiman, saw participation from 54 athletes representing 19 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Russia, New Zealand, France, China, Kazakhstan, Canada, Brazil, and Malaysia, making Kampong Bharu an international BASE jumping hub.
